War Memorials

Something I have started recently when travelling is ensuring I have taken photos of local War Memorials.

It's important, I think, to read and think about the names we see engraved on War Memorials. To respect and reflect upon those who gave their lives whilst in service to Australia and to consider what they gave up, making a difference for those at home and for those in future years, whilst sacrificing everything of themselves.

Above and Below - the Wagga Wagga War Cemetery - 40 Australian Army and
42 RAAF Airmen are buried here. Many of the RAAF Aircrew died in training 
accidents. Of the 40 Army personnel, 26 are from the School of Military Engineering
who perished on the same day during a mine training accident.
